Rooted in the wild, carried by memory

Hides tanned by hand with bark and brain. Crafts shaped from bone, wood, and what the land provides. Honouring the animals, the forest, and the ancient knowledge that lives in all of us.

The story

I’m Sita. I practise the oldest crafts known to our kind — tanning hides, working with bone and wood, making things the way our ancestors did. Every hide I work with is a gift from an animal, preserved by what nature provides. Bark, brain, smoke. No chemicals, just patience and respect. I believe this ancient knowledge lives quietly in all of us — a memory of how we once kept warm, made beautiful things, and lived close to the land. My wish is to awaken that memory, through the things I make and the stories I share. I hope you will wear these pieces with pride, in memory of the animal who gave the material and the nature that helped preserve it.
